L Bracket Countertop Support Bracket

The L-Bracket support bracket for countertops gives virtually invisible support to granite, quartz, marble, natural stone, wood, or heavy kitchen countertops. This is the perfect concealed countertop overhang bracket. This Bracket is made from your choice of steel or solid aluminum, both Made in the USA.

Note: This bracket MUST be used with a knee or pony wall or inside a cabinet reinforced with a 2x6. If you are looking for a bracket for shelving, we have those here. 

How to Determine What Length to Use:

The bracket is sized in length edge to edge horizontally; therefore a 9-inch bracket is 9 inches edge to edge horizontally. [Do no use vertical tang in measurements].

When determining lengths, stay away from the outer edge 3 inches and do not forget to add in the thickness of the knee/pony wall or the 2x6 inside the cabinet.

Example of how to determine the size L Bracket you will need:

If you have a knee/pony wall: Let's say you have a 12-inch overhang, plus 4 inches in the knee/pony wall, so 16 inches. Minus 3 inches outer edge, which means you would need a 13-inch L-Bracket.

We recommend placing an L Bracket on each stud in your knee/pony wall for maximum countertop protection.

If using a 2x6: Let's say you have a 12-inch overhang, plus 1 1/2 inches for the 2x6, plus 1/2 inch {measure your cabinet this is an example} for the thickness of the back wall of your cabinet. Minus 3 inches outer edge, means you need an 11-inch L Bracket.

We recommend spacing your bracket 16-20 inches apart when using a 2x6 for maximum granite protection.

**Important Note: We do not recommend using the L Bracket for shelving. This bracket is designed to be used inside cabinets or over knee/pony walls for countertop protection. For shelving, we recommend our Regular Shelf Bracket or Large Shelf Bracket.
